This Refund Policy explains how payments, subscription cancellations, future charges, and refund requests work at Lingolou.
This policy does not limit any mandatory consumer rights that may apply to you under the laws of your country.
1. Scope
This policy applies to paid Lingolou subscriptions purchased through our website.
The free plan does not create any refund entitlement because no subscription fee is charged.
2. Subscription Billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or quarterly basis, depending on the plan you select.
- After payment, the user receives access to Lingolou paid features for the relevant paid period.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel them before the next renewal date.
- Payments are securely processed through our payment partner PayPro Global. Your bank or card statement may show the charge under the name of the payment processor or merchant descriptor used for the transaction.
3. Subscription Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time in your account or by contacting us.
- Canceling a subscription means that future automatic charges will be stopped.
- After cancellation, your paid access remains active until the end of the current already paid period.
- Canceling a subscription does not itself mean an automatic refund for the already paid period.
- We generally do not provide prorated refunds for unused time in the current paid period unless applicable law requires otherwise.
4. Refunds
Because Lingolou provides access to a digital online service immediately after payment, payments for an already paid period are generally non-refundable once use of the service has started, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
- A refund may be considered in individual cases, for example if you were charged twice for the same purchase; if you were charged after a valid cancellation; if a technical problem on our side blocked access to the paid service and we could not resolve it within a reasonable time; or if a refund is required under applicable law.
- Refunds are generally not granted for partial use, unused time, a change of mind after access to the service has started, or a lack of use during the paid subscription period.
5. Right of Withdrawal for EU/EEA Consumers
If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, the law may give you the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days from the date of purchase.
- However, if you agreed that access to the paid Lingolou digital service starts immediately after payment, your right to a full refund may be limited once the service has begun, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- If the law of your country gives you stronger rights, those rights continue to apply.
To exercise an applicable right of withdrawal or submit a refund request, please contact us as soon as possible and provide your purchase details.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us by email:
- the email address used for the purchase;
- the order number or payment reference, if available;
- the purchase date;
- the reason for your request.
We may ask for additional information if we need it to verify the request.
7. Approved Refunds
If a refund is approved, we will, where possible, return it to the same payment method that was used for the purchase.
- The time it takes for the funds to appear depends on your bank, card issuer, and payment provider.
We aim to review refund requests within 5 business days.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time.
The latest version will always be published on this page.
